Everyone deserves to eat, and everyone deserves to eat the best food available - including local, seasonal, fresh produce from farmers markets! Food access is a central part of our mission as a nonprofit, and we’re proud to support food access programming that enables community members to stretch their spending power and buy from our farmers and processors. There are several food access programs at our market, outlined below. For more information, please visit the Information Booth any Saturday that we are open.
EBT/SNAP
EBT/SNAP are federally funded food stamps administered by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
Use benefits at the farmers market just like you would at the grocery store! They can be used on all produce (fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, and edible plant starts). They can also be used on processed and to-go food items including bread, meat, eggs, pickles, salsa, salad dressings, and frozen to-go meals.
HOW TO USE EBT AT THE MARKET - Come to the Information Booth any Saturday we are open! We’ll walk you though the process of using your EBT card to get tokens to spend with our vendors. See SNAP MATCH below to learn how to DOUBLE your EBT bucks at the market!
Sun bucks
Sun Bucks are a supplementary program paired with EBT. Eligible families with school-age children will automatically receive a Sun Bucks card and benefits.
HOW TO USE SUN BUCKS AT THE MARKET - use it just like EBT, as outlined above! Visit the Information Booth to complete your transaction. Sun Bucks are also eligible for SNAP MATCH, which is outlined below.

SNAP Market Match
SNAP Market Match is a state-administered program that doubles your EBT dollars. In 2025, our market is able to offer up to $25 in SNAP Market Match per day (per EBT/SUN Bucks card).
These can be used at all participating markets, and may be used on the following eligible items - fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, and edible plant starts.
HOW TO USE SNAP MARKET MATCH AT THE MARKET - complete your EBT or SUN Bucks transaction at the market booth, then use the coupons on the eligible items listed above (also listed on the backside of the coupons)
WIC (Women, Infants, & Children)
WIC is a DOH program with many benefits, including monthly fruit & vegetable benefits and Farmers Market Nutrition Program Benefits (FMNP)
Both monthly fruit & vegetable benefits AND FMNP benefits can be used at the market!
FMNP gives additional funds per household that can only be used at farmers markets June-October
Monthly fruit & vegetable benefits can be used at any time before they expire. This means you can buy market produce any time of year with your WIC benefits!
HOW TO USE WIC AT THE MARKET - The QR code on either your WIC card or in your WIC shopper app will be used directly with vendors who are contracted to take WIC. For more information or to see which vendors are eligible, stop by the Information Booth any Saturday.
How to Apply for WIC
Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)
This DOH program gives eligible seniors $80 per season to use at the farmers market from June to October.
Participants will receive their card in the mail, and can use it directly with farmers who are contracted to take FMNP.
HOW TO USE SENIOR FMNP AT THE MARKET - Bring your card (shown at the right) to the farmers market. Farmers who can take it will have a sign at the front of their booth telling you that they accept it. You can also visit the Information Booth, and we’re happy to point out which farms you can use your benefits with.
