Ingredients

  • 2 c. fresh pumpkin
  • 3 lbs. lean ground beef
  • cans red kidney beans
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 (15 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 c. mushrooms (optional)

    • Directions

    Brown ground beef and drain off excess fat. Put ground beef into a large pot. Add all remaining ingredients. Cook on low for approximately 2 hours. Serve with your bread of choice.
