From the Central Kitsap School District and led by Jeremy Faxon, the ensemble is comprised of 56 fifth and sixth grade students as well as 7 Junior High section coaches. The ensemble studies the art of jazz as well as improvisation. They perform annually at school district band concerts and events, local elementary schools and the North Thurston Jazz Festival. The ensemble is now in its third year and is one of a handful of such programs in the state.

“The Doppler Duo” is a flute duet group. Shannon Nakaya (a graduating senior) and Alanna Vidal (a junior) are State Honorable Mention Winners in the 2010 State Solo & Ensemble Competition held at Central Washington University Last April. The girls received all “superior” scores at the State contest. The girls have been performing together for years.

Musicians from the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association - 'Keeping Traditional Fiddle Music Alive in the Pacific Northwest!' Founded in 1965, WOTFA - District 5 - serves Kitsap and Mason County musicians dedicated to preserving and promoting America's old-time fiddling heritage.

Lemolo is a beat-based, jazzy swing band that plays original compositions by Poulsbo local singer/songwriters John Willett and Todd Houghton. The Band: Todd Houghton, Michael Sciacca, Sandy Charyn and Keith Mesirow.
