Despite Mother Nature's fun with us this summer we received plenty of entries in the 5th Annual Tomato Taste Off. Following tasting and deliberation, our judges selected the winners:
Cherry/Pear
1st Place: Black Cherry - Hand Sown Homegrown, Jared Hankins/Sara O'Keefe
2nd Place: Stupice - Ann Stephens
3rd Place (Tie): Yellow Jelly Bean and Yellow Cherry - Karen Moore

The 2008 Tomato Taste Off Recipe Contest had two winners this year that tied for first place. The category was Fresh Tomato Salsa. Our judges selected the following winners:

Music at the Market
We are so grateful to all of the fabulous musicians that have agreed to play at the market this year. We recently heard from Runaway Train and Cesar Medel. In the coming weeks, we'll hear opera from Local opera teacher Valerie Williams and students, Country Capers, and Kimberly Lynn. Be sure to come out and support your local musicians!
